How to Delete Saved Game Files on Xbox

Need to free up some space or start fresh in a game or get a corrupted save file causing trouble? Deleting saved game files on your Xbox is quick and easy. Follow these steps to clear out unwanted save data:

Step 1: Open My Games & Apps

     On the Home screen, go to My games & apps.

Step 2: Manage the Game

     Highlight the game with the saved file you want to delete, press the Menu button (three lines), then select Manage game & add-ons.

Step 3: Access Saved Data

     In Saved data, find the item you’d like to delete.

Step 4: Delete the File

     Select “Delete Everywhere” to remove the save from both the console and cloud storage. Or select the exact profile which saves need to be deleted, press the menu button and then press “Delete saved data”.
Note! Once deleted, the save file is gone permanently, so be certain before you confirm!
     And that’s it! You’ve successfully removed the unwanted save, freeing up space and clearing any data issues.
