What is Xbox Play Anywhere (XPA)?
Xbox Play Anywhere is a consolidated version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. It merges the existing Microsoft Store and Xbox versions into a single unified entitlement. Owners of the PC (Microsoft Store) version will gain access to the Xbox version, and vice versa — owners of the Xbox version will gain access to the Microsoft Store (PC) version.
Do I need to purchase XPA?
No. Eligible owners will receive access automatically based on their existing purchase. If you have not previously owned S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl on the Microsoft Store or Xbox, you will receive both versions with your purchase.
Do I need to take any action to migrate my game?
The previous PC version will be replaced with a small application linking to the XPA version. To continue playing, you will need to download the PC version again via the link in the app or directly from your Xbox app game library. All future updates will apply only to the XPA version, as the original PC version has been delisted.
Will my save files transfer automatically?
If cloud synchronization is enabled and functioning properly, your save data will transfer automatically.
Can I lose my progress during migration?
Progress loss is rare. However, in cases where cloud backup data is corrupted and no valid synchronized save exists (for example, due to being offline), save recovery may not be possible. More about that: (https://www.stalker2.com/news/saves-managing-manual).
Will my DLCs transfer to XPA?
Yes. All eligible DLCs associated with your account will be merged into your XPA entitlement.
