Use this guide to see the beauty of the Zone in the smallest detail.
Adjust the graphics
- In the main menu of the game, open Options.
- Click Graphics. When you start the game, the system automatically sets the optimal Overall quality settings for your configuration, and then you can change some of the settings manually.
Here are some basic settings you can change to get better image quality or performance:
- Object quality (textures, hair, details, effects) is responsible for the beauty and realism of characters, buildings, weapons, and other objects in the game. Higher settings make the game look better, but also require more video memory.
- Shadows, Global Illumination, Reflections Quality is responsible for the detail of shadows and other lighting effects in the game. You can lower the quality to improve performance or increase it for more realistic effects.
- Environment Draw Distance controls how far away from you the environment is drawn. The further away, the more convenient it is for exploring the Zone, but it can also affect the frame rate.
- The Resolution scale setting allows you to render the game in a higher or lower resolution than the screen has, and then scale the image to the desired size. A scale of less than 100% will reduce the load on the system, but the picture will be less clear. On the contrary, a scale above 100% increases clarity, but at the same time requires more resources. Try different upscaling algorithms to achieve the optimal ratio of picture quality and performance. TSR, AMD FSR 3.0, NVIDIA DLSS, and INTEL XESS upscaling are supported.
